have been a professional chef for over 25 years, and my passion for food began as a very young child assisting my “Yia-Yia” with the daily preparing and cooking of the meals for my large family, and all the guests that were invited over for dinners. We averaged a table of 10-15 guests for family meals.
The best memories were all the hours spent in the kitchen preparing for traditional Greek celebrations and the large parties that happened throughout the year. Our Easter celebration had hundreds of guests with a full lamb roasting over an open pit that was built and perfected over the years by my father, and brothers. This was one of the celebrations that required days of cooking preparations such as, Dolmathes, Spanakopita, Tiropita, Moussaka, Pastitsio, and all kinds of desserts.
These are just some of the reasons I love to eat, cook, create and play with food. I am a classically trained chef with deep roots based in California cuisine. I graduated from Los Angeles Culinary Institute and then continued to work my way up the California coast landing in Napa/Sonoma, 20 years ago.
I have worked throughout the culinary industry in various restaurants, hotels, catering, private clients, and now my own business For the Love of Food.
I like to create custom menus that involve my clients in the menu planning process. This can be with special menu requests, dietary needs or restrictions, plating choices, and type of service. I am well versed in world cuisine and welcome the request for unique regions of the world. It is my goal to help make your occasion memorable.
